The article tries to picture the current scenario of global integration and human rights. Author Kenneth Roth is a known American attorney and executive director of Human Rights Watch. Most of his works are based on human rights in East Africa, Iran, Bosnia, Iraq, Sierra Leone and Democratic Republic of Congo.In this articles he gives more light to the perspective of international and domestic policies of human rights. He shared, in the example of Kenya and Brazil, how efforts made by Human Rights Watch helped bridging gaps between people and how people of different ethnicity working for common goal help sort out the situations easily. The times have changed and in an era of multicultural democracy it is not the western who rules the world everywhere. People working collectively and the concept of reporting to an authority that does not belong to their social structure will not work, so human rights watch make efforts as to share credible information but not authorities. He puts his concerns over the misrepresentation of information done by media in various cases leading to more damage of situations then resolution. The note which the author needs to share with the reader was, that, how co-operation between countries and domestic authorities leads to effective resolution of problems.
