Expect the bizarre

The brain cells and brain waves are replicated and all the mirror images are opposite in all the other sense. If you are thinking in a particular manner and acting (not necessarily according to it) then some brainwave is being created accordingly just opposite to it (might be acting similarly or in opposite manner). It depends on how much control over your senses you have. After all we live in a material world. The control over yourself defines what a character you are.

The journey begins in a world where brain cells and tiny particles are acting and making a difference. No one ever thought a particle so tiny can create a difference. I certainly hope it does because then nothing would make sense. The theory of relativity tells many idioms: one of them is energy can neither be created neither be destroyed; only transferred from one form to another. Similarly the transformation of life giving energy always comes with an opposite form of anti-life energy. Too much fiction you say. Well this is the only thing that makes sense. Only the parameters are not defined yet. Which one to govern, what is variable and what is constant. There is a notion that alien visited earth once in grand manner and stayed here for quite some time. The world is a playground and nothing else. You come here to play and enjoy and not to settle.  The settlement part is the abyss. It may either be a notion of a lunatic that took too much drugs and fell off the normal course just to be known. But something that bothers me, if it is true than what are the means to justify it. As I speak there are none till now. What you gain/loose is materially shifted or just a paradigm.

The sense of word comes into picture only by its definition. Not by words, but by the definition it provides due to its existence. Imagine a world without definitions. The expressions will be the only means and there will be no need for communication (audible) because that would make no sense. Just to make things easy we learned to talk and communication. The invention of audible communication was created to avoid havoc. (Now read the newspaper and you would come to know how many people try to keep their language important to others. Some are intelligent they know why to keep i.e. it would be easy for communication. Some inconceivable people are keeping it for pride. I laugh at them when people tell me that. Similarly expanding their countries boundaries…). That makes sense but let’s not generalized it does so. It is the reason few or many (doesn’t matter) think in the similar fashion.

Well this is why discoveries are made by people working hard or floppy (varies from person to person and just a frame of mind). These are the one that makes progress. Few centuries ago the process started. But what we overlook was the fact that how the life pattern would be after we have made our life comfortable. No one specifically considers this to be a threat, that the life pattern would be a problem once we have made the discoveries. The genius today will be an idiot tomorrow or have been one in the past. These things does not bother me too, but the knowledge of existence of such things is necessary for not to overindulge in the dilemma of such things. This means this book will be open as long as the existence of human beings and this will be the leftovers of the human society for anyone to read.

For the prologue tis much fact is necessary and thus begins the start of a story one that we have been living in the future. Some detailing are not just and likable but then so is life.

Chapter I

Wait

Newsflash: (Lady speaking) the picture we see today of a town in prosperity is the one we have long dreamt of. President Andy said the in the recent press conference (video clip) “Bad times have passed and an era of prosperity is coming”. Market situation has stabilized and investors’ now having faith in their stocks as there is nowhere to go but rise. After the new policy developed by government based on the theory of the legendary Russian Dr. Stoyanovich for the new model of real world economy…This just in the reports for south…. (Channel change) Newsflash: …(commercial) techno-bots are the solution to any problem that you have….(channel change) Newsflash: … the renowned actor and heart throb of many is willing to serve a community service in the awe of crimes done which were linked to…(switch off)

Man walking towards the window gazing towards the still dark sky. A street sign lit at the end of the road glowing. The streets are dirty with sewer waters coming out in the middle of the streets. A dark alley is visible from the window but only shades and shadows of people lying there. The room is filled with a pungent smell of smoke. Two girls lying on the bedside half naked. The carpet floor is stained with ashes and liquor spread all over it. (Thoughts: Is this it). Door knock: Please open the door. Man walks down to the door and opens it. Bell boy: Sir where should I keep the bottles. Man looking at the watch. Bellboy: It’s a complement from the hotel staff. He picked up the bottle and slammed the door. Light coming from the window, its sunrise and a tall figure with fair complexion appears to be gazing towards it. 6 feet tall slim body having no scars on body, chest hair and a well-built athletic body.

State 0630 hrs.

Windows covering itself with black glaring plastic resembling glass. The view of the window changed the sun’s glare is much less and there are 3D texts in different directions showing humidity, temperature. In the left corner of the window incoming call from unknown number, location untraceable. The bottom of the window black panes are stuck and withered. Man looking into the alley from the opening. The shadows and the images are gone. (The craziness is gone after all). Computer modulated Lady Voice: you have got a recorded message.

Phone: (Voice coming from an army radio: Mr. Steyn our meeting went successful. The client is much interested in meeting you in person; the profile of the client is clean. I am not sure but lately your absence in meetings is causing a dubious effect on your clients. Sorry for disturbing you sir, but it’s extremely urgent, please respond. I will be sending someone to your house immediately to pick you up (Message over). Man still gazing at the alley trying to focus on the aura…

Presidents House 0630 hrs.

A round table is set and all the army high officials are sitting with the Vice president

Col Rockwell: Sir, even with the advanced tech solutions we are unable to detect what is the cause of the anomaly.

Lt Col Kobayashi: I beg to differ to that Dr. Steyn’s theory might be correct but we have put a lot of faith into a fool’s errand and risking it to the world with an alpha level confidence is still a questionable affair.

Col Rockwell: We had no option but to rely on it as the control over the populous states are in grave danger of sleeper cells and anarchists.

Vice President James: We are here to sit for ideating solution not to scratch the past. As long as you have nothing positive to speak please keep quiet and listen. Let’s (An agent rushing into the room and whispering something in Vice President’s ears) what... (James face became pale as if someone has sucked all the life from it. Glaring towards the table) There has been an attack at the President; he is in St. Martha hospital.

Col Rockwell: (Looking towards the agent) No news of Mr.Steyn.

Lt Col Kobayashi: This is insane I cannot risk my countries security on some fool’s errand. This is…

James: (Standing up and rushing towards the door) we do not have much time left. Come up with a stall solution or agree to it. It is sooner than we thought.

(If God is present then surely he is playing with us because no way he can be serious for that long amount of time. What if the world was made of a ratio of philosophers, rational thinkers, rebels, people following ism. Is this the criteria for defining a person's perspective in life? How can we be so sure that the balance would be maintained if any of the races would not exists? We cannot. This does not make any sense. Being a rational thinker my brain goes for the practical decisions that would and could be made for any particular given situation and not allowing my true potential for doing what I want. So what if people are pleased with the decisions they can only foresee. I have to do this now for my existence. I have some plan embedded in my system for the same. I will not share it with most of the people. If they are smart enough then they will eventually understand. If not they will follow. If anything else then they wouldn't care.

Let’s for any instance, think that the discovery of objects have made people richer and known for that objectivity. No one has ever thought of coming with an original idea that makes the difference. It might not matter for most of the people but for me it will. Japanese, I met one in my company meeting the other day and one can only say that they have turned into machines. Now they are not coming to normal life. It's been ages of systematic brainwashing. Motherfucking womanizers. One of them jumped and asked my boss question that is he a womanizer, I couldn’t stop laughing. I think dripping of the h bomb has put them out of their human condition and mutated them to a different types of zombie altogether.)

You yourself would have gone back again to the fundamentals of your belief. The question being why, you will only be comfortable by doing what you believe in. You like exploring ideas, logic and playing with it. Being at a steady state of mind is important rest all does not matter that much.

Maverick : Journey

Well I have to admit it's very uncommon for me to have a normal day or two in a stretch. The line of work in which I am in I come around loads of new people everyday and do lots of new things daily. Some meet with very common agendas others with some with others. I hear to all of them and share my thoughts with all of them.  Sometimes I am in a position to solve them other time I give them the means but mostly I tell them where they should go to get the right kind of help. That's because I don't have a craving to become a world leader or a super popular guy until it's the only option. I would love to have a normal life in which I have the means and brains to help people. Though it seems very flowery thing but that's the only challenging thing worth working for. If I try and explain normal I mean if I am working with/on/around something I keep my undivided attention towards it, hassle free.
In current situation everyone in India is hoping to become something big or have some or the other power but for what they have no idea. There are many companies opening, many youngsters with lots of ideas about business. I too am one of them, though my idea is not something I would leave behind and it's reasonably profitable too. But I am not into it just for money, power or some clichéd terms, although I would love to have capital but that never is the main goal and it never was. I am in it because it gives me Joy, even failure or failed attempts doesn't dishearten me it just boost me up as i learn after each of them what not to do. The satisfaction of being in a position to help genuine human beings gives me true happiness. It's not the end yet and it's an open book with lots of new chapters to come. I will share my experience though in my blog whenever I get time. For what it's worth its not the destination that matters it's how you travel defines you.

The company of a woman

The title of the blog is a book by khushwant Singh which I guess most of us had read it or at least heard about it. To be honest I was scared as I read the final chapters of the book. I thought of it as wtf this is it. It's a story or a man who lives his life in a pragmatic manner. He has no high hopes for religion, no worries of society. But the man had a cheerful life, isn't that we all want from it. It was full of good and bad decisions. His love towards his family, his country. His drive for sex. He had achieved every obstacles he set out for. I wonder if being more careful had  given him a better death or a better life, honestly I don't know. The fact that he had a carefree life was good but his lack of judgement over some issues over his desire for sex lacked integrity. Nonetheless chap had a lot of women. I guess that's life, you win some you loose some.

Terrorism and the concept of freedom

One man’s terrorist another man’s freedom fighter. What is terrorism? Is it only relevant to national and religious boundaries? Does the concept of freedom allow terrorism to grow? Is absolute freedom a possibility or myth?

The wonders that man can create by limitless thinking and the destruction/depression it can bring by oppression of the same ideas. I can cite a number of examples where men have taken decisions made for present situations which has cost future generations to pay. Don't get me wrong, decisions are to be taken and yes the criteria of present do matter. Constructive ideas helps community; society and the nation grow as one. The influence of men and their life also plays a significant role in creating the cornerstones for a society. Now, if an idea occurring into my mind is creative, logical and widely acceptable by the chosen leaders of the community; in political and social terms then it is treated as a law and people in the coming generations follow it. Freedom of any type can be objectified most of the times in the law of that state and in some cases can be debated over subjective matters. The law here itself amount the value of freedom to be given to a society.  So freedom here is a portion defined by the law. The idea of violence in public when talking over the case of freedom is abhorrent to human beings. I am also not in the favor of fighting to attain freedom. You ask is it not been in the history of human beings to fight for their rights? It depends on the conditions we look at it.

What are basics human rights exactly? Do they consider or let us say approve the use of violence of any type in the prospects for achieving freedom? There are certain clauses for defense against any criminal activity ongoing but none of them states to initiate it. We have been here for a long time in this planet which we call our own. Divided we are in sense of nation, religion, community or I might even say in political opinions. It’s been around 5000 years when actual society of intelligent humans began to spring on earth. A society is a group or community of people that safeguards itself from the dangers of outside world. The community decides on reason, logic and culture the validity of the dangers. If the community did not approve certain illustrations or matters over the basis of cultural, moral or their political discrepancies then those elements in law were abandoned from the society along with the people accepting it. For generations people have passed sharing their cultural, ethnic, social, technological and political knowledge from one to another. If we were to think of it this way it was just a frame of mind; laws created by one society to leisure their own kind. Some cultures and societies had their expiry dates but some cultivated through time and passed their experience. Here we are in the 21st century, knowing about few of the many discovered/undiscovered cultures we have ever had in the history of human development. Some cultures have had extremist beginnings but moderate beliefs now, some had humble origins but violent apprehensions now. In due course of time we have learned to make peace with all of them. Thus a community or a society failing to fulfil the needs of young generations or massive population of older generation has to undergo some changes in order to exist. These changes are done if and when necessary, not only for the benefits of the present society but to continue to share the values of they have been cultivating.

The societies created in due time have had certain beliefs and valuable items or tradition which they try and save from diminishing. Come to think it is rather funny that you define a section or a society on the basis of the color of the skin. It had made me laugh all the time how naïve were the people in the past. But aren't we naïve when we see new things around us now and when we want our dear ones to be safe from its rather undesiring effects. Some of us still have the notion in Hindu culture that travelling in certain directions east, west or otherwise in some particular days are not safe. Some countries hate each other for no conclusive reason at all. But that is nativity of human beings that will continue, we will learn from it in due course of time as we have done in the past by looking into reason and making peace with the surroundings. Few say that chaos is natural order of the universe, to which I respectfully decline. They fail to see the leisure for the objects that are in that state. May be, when in comparison in a larger scale of events it holds true. But if you look in an event that is so miniscule; when it comes to specs like human beings, it is not so. Even the atoms in a molecule are guided by a set of predefined laws which cannot be broken even if they want to, because the leisure their natural state of order. They have their own laws and are following it and no one is there to invigilate them. So when I talk about absolute freedom it has to come from a state of mind so enlightened about his/her existence and the cause and effect it will provide by creating a hindrance in its own existence. It is easier said than done, in cases of atoms planetary bodies they don't have consciousness, speculation, ideas, theories, guides or any thoughts of rebellion in them. However, in humans, brain have developed to a state to be aware of its existence and acknowledge the existence of others too. Does it give us the upper edge or just another defect created by nature, I don't know. But the fact that I am quite sure of it is not normal. So the idea of absolute freedom to be attained by each and every singular human being residing on this or will be on any other planet is hard for me to visualize. I sincerely hope for that, but in due time we have to look to a possible solution for that to happen.

Terrorism is widely used word nowadays, most of it due to media spreading and also due to frequent acts of vandalism by group of individuals claiming themselves to be part of some religious cultures. If I were to simplify the act of terrorism I would stick to the thought that group of individuals not knowing the history of their origins and spreading useless propaganda for some unnecessary freedom among their fellow cultist or religion or any other word they want to distinguish it with. I do not hate them for their beliefs, they are individuals and they have a right to believe in whatever fashion they want to. But as I earlier said cultures that prolong and do not have an expiry date are the ones which make necessary changes in their laws for the older and younger generations to flourish because it’s a necessity. Although in a functioning society there has to be a position for rebel so as to help it keep growing. Terrorist are no rebels, they have a very clear agenda based on a notion that has been built up either by false remarks or political agendas or social agendas to cause harm to certain group or individuals because they are thought of as bad persons of influence for the society. You cannot divide the society into good or bad people, which again is very rational for an opinionated being such as humans. We humans as individuals work with a certain frame of mind to achieve something that is of value to that individual. We never said that valuable items or beliefs are same for all individuals and also not necessarily constant with respect of time. Very rational beings change their valuable items but not their ideas, few rational beings have fixed interests in material possessions, and it is the diversity of human thoughts. But nearly all of us have the fear of losing our life or the life of our loved ones without a cause. This fear is treated as the prime source of intimidation for the terrorist to cause crimes. The idea of taking a person’s life is not only dangerous because of list of laws you break, but also because of the major idea from depriving a certain person the right to live whose likings, ideologies and thinkings does not match your own.

Bad Thinkers

What is real? Is it the feelings that our mind generates or what we can physically view or feel. Or is beyond something our approach of understanding. Anyway, this is some hardcore philosophy that needs serious and objective research by many who are willing to put their life for it. I read an article in the aeon magazine.BAD THINKERS
It said about a young individual named Oliver and his belief in conspiracy theory for 9/11. He is convinced of the fact that it is government cover up and the towers were deliberately demolished for some reasons. He is unwilling even to listen to the facts and his belief is based on numerous authentic and unauthentic articles on 9/11 read in newspaper or in the net. As a person writer does not know him and the speculations people make for the basis of Oliver’s belief cannot be justified by his theories.
The writer explains it with a several of theories about which there is no existential proof available or authenticated otherwise. Reminds of a list of movies that were made for audience to believe in their own way. Some real life wide spread conspiracies like Watergate, JFK assassination, Subhash Bose disappearance and many more. Although, this can’t be proved the way the people think is right or wrong but the basis of their thinking in a certain way depends upon many factors situational as well as some capabilities of brain. In some sense I believe with writer’s notion of education helping people to keep alive their intellectual virtues and suppressing intellectual vices. The mere fact that education alone is the cause of people thinking the way they think is wrong. Sometime earlier I watched a movie name animatrix in which there was a chapter of a detective story which I happen to remember. The detective took a case of catching a ghost person named as trinity wanted for many cases by the government. He finds certain people gone crazy or vague or disappeared while finding her. Later he finds trinity but was unable to catch her. The chapter in the movie was not only a detective story only but also a conspiracy by authorities to hide legit information from public. But it was a science fiction based on imagination of the director, writer and the characters. In real life only evidences can lead to certainty only.

The Group

The group is a movie by Sidney Lumet, the person directed dog day afternoon, the network, 12 angry men and many other movies. This movie showcases women from the 40's and the time before and during the world war. The male dominated society where there were only two types of men defined in the movie: honorable knights and the bad men. It tries and showcases the yearning of women for their freedom of expression and the hope to do something meaningful of their lives.
The movie starts with girls chirping and enjoying the last day of their graduation. Like any graduates, there were having mixed feelings about their future life. The movie title “the group” is for 8 friends Lakey, Dottie, Priss, Polly, Kay, Pokey, Libby and Helena from the class of Vassar 1933 who were among the freshly graduated students. Kay one of the brightest in their group who came from a humble background and wants to set an example for the folks back home. She marries to an upcoming theater director after college and engages herself in a job that she doesn't likes; to support her family. Her life goes through some tough times and a bad husband which ends her married life in divorce. Libby, the one who is most ambitious, who wants a job in publishing and whose bravado hides her insecurities when not getting what she wants. Lakey, an outed lesbian who can get any man
she wants but has longing for Kay, after graduation she goes to Europe. Dottie: a Boston girl recovering from her betrayal of first love marries a man to hide her feelings. Polly: An aspiring doctor who quits her dream for some financial problems. Priss: A democrat who ends up marrying a republican. Pokey: She gets married and have kids and becomes a normal housewife. Helena: The communicator who reports the goings-on of her friends to their other classmates.
I hate watching chick flicks, but the reason I got into it was the mention of Mary McCarthy in an article

She was an intelligent girl and the movie Group is based on her novel “The Group”. I cannot comment on the authenticity of the characters matching the one written in the book. I did not get the urge of reading the book as I got while watching Lord of the rings. But this is one of the better chick movies and shows real world descriptions of women and men. In the movie though, the female gender is exposed as weak, uncaring, not knowledgeable and it does not shows any real bonding of friends. If this story was meant as enlightenment, it satisfies a voyeur's dream but there's no sharing of intimacy which is found between "true friends". But maybe you could identify, resolve, and move on where these women could not, it is the 40's, where women take a back seat to the men. Maybe, it shows us that we are not that much different in the generations that follow. The situation for women in the movie is relevant for developing countries where still men dominant societies recide. Men or women, the movie gives us a moral that without a voice, our choice to do what we want, we won't be able to do it, and till then we are only pretending.

Defence of the ancients part 1

Based on a popular game series DOTA. Some of the facts are reinvented and part of fiction.

A long time ago there was a planet similar to ours that existed in our galaxy. A seemingly intelligent population of beings made the planet their acquaintance. The planet was named as "radiant".  Radiant was rich in resources and fauna and flora. The people were peace loving and had respect for nature. There were no crimes in their planet. It was not divided into countries or state. The whole planet was one nation. The government were not picked by election in a pre mandated time. It was more like community service and mandatory for all who recited there.
Earlier religion was a concept that divided them but after centuries of war they abandoned that concept. They nomore had the notion of religion and all of them had emmense faith in science and logic. The population that recided there were also similar to human beings. They were genetically more advanced then us. In this perfect society there was no place for crime and if they did happened, were not taken lightly. The criminals were put up in correctional faculties for study. They lived a normal life there and depending on the nature of their crime, programs were created for their benefits. Their civilization was an advanced one and was able to create artificially intelligent beings. The ai was also aware of the fact that they can also be corrupted by some or the other means. So not every decision was only ai's final verdict but a group of individuals which involved artificially enhanced beings too and natural human beings.
The criminally insane were kept away from the humans. They were a handful of people but some of them very powerful, cunning and extremely dangerous. All had one thing in common, their will to dominate the beings in one way or the other. A collective decision among the beings and ai was made and a special prison was created for them. They created a moon, an artificial satellite which they placed in the vicinity of their planet and a prison was created inside the moon. It was named" dire". Any change in the mass would lead the moon off its trajectory and it will be blown in the space. The convicts were told that their nature of crime was too violent and this decision was for their own correction and safety of the rest of population. They had to agree, they didn't had any choice.
The convicts were of different nature and abilities. Nearly all of them were genetically advanced and most of them made modifications of their own which were not authorized. Some powerful enough to control lightening and thunder and similar natural and unnatural elements. So a controlled environment was created for all of them so that they will not be able to use any of their abilities for good or for bad. The barrier was placed outside the atmosphere of the moon.  There were special equipments attached individually to each of them to bar them to use their powers.

Adolescence in Japan

In violent times, young Japanese just shrug

Hard work always pays off. Being an Indian, as a child we grew up listening to real and mythical stories of heroes, superheroes or Gods who fought against all sorts of evil with determination and with the will to fight for a just cause. When we are old enough and start working in jobs corporate or otherwise, in times, we often look back and encourage ourselves with remembering one or the other stories. 

I remember when i was 10 years old i heard that my mausi ( maternal aunt) was about to get married to some guy in Japan. I went to the wedding with my family, it was held in Kanpur, my mother's home town. We kids were excited, some guy from videsh (foreign country), how cool. We interviewed our mausaji (maternal uncle) about how was it to stay in Japan, how were the people in Japan. He always gave a cold response, never excited too much about the people, their habit and young one, though he always praised their systems their life but not their lifestyle, calling them robots of some kind. We got mixed notions about Japan some of us thought of it as an alien nation while some nice place but none of us praised it. In later years when i got to know him and our conversations got frequent, i got to know the downfall in the culture of Japan which was there 25 years ago and much more.

A recent incident in Japan where a 19 year old kills a 72 year old lady because she had a childhood dream of killing. If you read it at first you will come to say probably a sick child with issues. You are right, of course it is a case of mental instability, but what is causing it. Rational thinking is not something that can be imparted to someone but it comes from within, the way in which we live, the ways we learn and most important the way we picture ourselves in the society. In the article the author mentions about "new fatalism", a feeling that says effort reaps no rewards. I cannot say that all the kids in Japan are like this nor can i defend them. The reasoning here seems to be more towards the culture of manga, the rise of superheroes in manga and evidently in the lives of kids, the change in video games that are played in Japan. Honestly, these cannot be the parameters to judge psyche of a whole generation. The article tries to combine various comments to prove his theory but it all looks a work of fiction to me.

We have often heard about the word global warming. But what is it actually? If you ask a person to express his views about the same, he will simply state as the heating up of the climate, in a sense he is right. Global warming is the heating effect caused by the greenhouse gases emitted from earth due to artificial or natural mean on the climate. So basically the warming up of climate.

I am sure each and every one of us who is interested in watching movies has watched a movie showing massive destruction of earth due to natural causes. Movies like 2012, Day after tomorrow etc. often gave a spine chilling effect. I often wondered that how is it possible that such extensive amount of heat is getting piled up and if it so what amount? Here one of the article which I read described that in how much amount the heat is transferred into the atmosphere and where it is absorbed. By research of global warming and its extent scientists estimated the amount of heat transferred in the year 2012 into the oceans was approximately 125 trillion Joules per second. Now imagine the amount of heat and destruction caused by Hiroshima bombing; this is twice of Hiroshima. Further research says that in recent years and by the end of 2013 it reached to about 12 Hiroshima’s per second.

The analogy here the scientist have made that if the current situation is accelerated at the same rate each year then within 5 years we will be witnessing a sudden change in climate. I am not point towards the scenarios of some destruction movie or it could be worse than that too, we don’t know. But it is for certain a sudden change in climate condition is evident it will last more than a decade.

The article tries to picture the current scenario of global integration and human rights. Author Kenneth Roth is a known American attorney and executive director of Human Rights Watch. Most of his works are based on human rights in East Africa, Iran, Bosnia, Iraq, Sierra Leone and Democratic Republic of Congo.In this articles he gives more light to the perspective of international and domestic policies of human rights. He shared, in the example of Kenya and Brazil, how efforts made by Human Rights Watch helped bridging gaps between people and how people of different ethnicity working for common goal help sort out the situations easily. The times have changed and in an era of multicultural democracy it is not the western who rules the world everywhere. People working collectively and the concept of reporting to an authority that does not belong to their social structure will not work, so human rights watch make efforts as to share credible information but not authorities. He puts his concerns over the misrepresentation of information done by media in various cases leading to more damage of situations then resolution. The note which the author needs to share with the reader was, that, how co-operation between countries and domestic authorities leads to effective resolution of problems.

Niggeration of America

In a video i came across of Dr. Cornel West, a well known American philosopher, author and activist. Some of us will know him from the movie Matrix. He was one of the counselor in the movie Matrix Reloaded and Matrix Revolution. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0922002
He was invited to speak in the memorial for the incidence that occurred in Attica during 70's in America, commonly known as the Attica riot. For those who are not aware of the Attica riots; it was a jail riot in which prison guards were kept hostages and a demand from the prisoners as Prisoner's rights were kept in front of the authorities. Dr. Cornel focused on the courage that the prisoners had to stand up against the authorities. He compared today's people with the prisoners pointing similarities in situation and called it as Niggeration of America. Comparing the colored prisoner with the people in America that are below poverty line today, he said a considerable mass of people are subjected to a similar division. The leaders are ineffectively governing the situation and are only considered about the economy of the corporate. He condemned the misuse of power and wealth by the government for creation of wealth.

Through the looking glass

Shazia Sikander is a pakistani origin painter who moved to the US in early 90's. Her work in the field of art and sculpture creation is accredited all over the world except Pakistan, her home country. She has won countless awards till date but only after moving out of Pakistan her work was recognised. A Pakistani art enthusiast Raza Runia, has immense respect for her work. After conversations with her through emails he gets a chance to visit her and get a look at her artwork. The paintings by Shazia, as described by Raza, were unique and breathtaking. In the article he describes the habits of the painter. Shazia confesses to Raza that her daily activities does not have glamor but more effort and competition, she goes as far as calling herself more of a hermit. After listening to the background of her artwork Raza himself agrees to her hermit nature and says, of all the artworks of Shazia he has seen there is no doubt that it requires immense dedication and secluded workmanship that of a hermit.

We all have heard violence and misbehaviour against muslim women who tries to defy tradition, especially in the muslim countries. The article which i came across was a peculiar one as it provoked rather unique thoughts. A lady named Nida Badwan is an artist and a photographer, who lives in Gaza. She was submitted to harassment from the authorities when she tried to roam the city in loose attire. Despite here telling them she is an artist the authorities blamed her sense of dressing an ordered her to change it if she wants to go out anywhere. Now i would have understood if she wanted to leave the place or done something like that, but, she stayed in her room and created artwork. She never came out of her room to see Gaza. In the past 15 months she only once saw gaza through skype for her art exhibition and when she went to doctor in which she deliberately closed her eyes for the whole way. This is also a silent protest against the orthodox, freedom hating world of islam from an artist. I admire her courage and wish her protest is considered by the educated people there.

Many Worlds Interpretation

Many Worlds Interpretation commonly abbreviated as MWI within the scientific community. Scientist, physicist, philosophers and every other person who practice ontology have been interested in the evolution of human and the very start of being. Some of the commonly known physicists and scientists such as Albert Einstein, Stephan Hawkings have proposed several theories about start of the universe and their theories about various topics. Among such topics are some long debated questions; are we alone in this universe, or are their any other universe. The fight for the right answer goes well beyond my scope of present knowledge. But a group of physicists are arguing about a Multiverse, in layman language, a universe existing parallel to ours. Some questions arise in the minds of scholars that even if they exist there is no way to prove the theory, even though mathematically there is a probability of  their existence. In a recent article i read there was one such debate ongoing whether the theory was right or wrong or even if the discussion for the same topic is worth or not. The major debatable topic among them was how to validate this scientific argument or rather a very specific judgement: Even if this is right there is no way to prove it. As much as i like to make a judgement for the decision but my knowledge for the history of the topic is limited. The author Sean Corell seemed too aggravated that the mere possibility of its validation was waved off because of the limitation of our technology and scope of knowledge. His basic proofs provided some mathematical explanations which seemed decent enough to be taken into consideration. Not to jump to conclusions here but i for one would like to take this topic more practically than theoretically. Not going with the explanation of the author lets not hastefully jump into conclusion. I would like the probability of its veracity to be taken into account along with other theories and lets take our chances on the most probable ones. I have no doubts that the scientist would have taken a lot of possibilities into account but no theories should be taken on faith.

Selma the movie

As appealing as it sounds, the movie is not about the incidences in Selma its another movie over Martin Luther King. Don't get me wrong i have no grudges against him neither i am of the type who hates movies over legendary personalities. Although the movie gave a view of what happened in Selma in 1960's but it screamed for sympathy and hatred for racial discrimination. Although racial discrimination by all means is wrong and not acceptable but the event that actually happened in Selma were far more diverse than that. The incidents of Selma were in a way similar to Jallianwala bagh incident which happened in India. A group of people that were targeted by the authorities to put an end to revolution led to an exactly opposite outcome. The events in Selma not only ignited the feeling of injustice among the American citizen which is much more evident in the movie but also gave the start to a civil war. The start of the Voting Right Act by Martin Luther King that took place after the event, was an initiative for the black people that will allow them to live peacefully. The movie captures initiatives by Martin Luther King but the civil war has not been shown with any sense here. Moreover the movie felt like another Martin praising movie.In my opinion the movie is more commercial than factual. In the movie some facts of the governor of Alabama will lead you to believe that he was a villain but actually he was not. He was looking from the perspective of white people that by giving a considerable amount of colored people the right to vote might lead to several administration problems. By watching the movie you would assume that a whole lot of whites hated the colored not only because of them being racist, but the fear of losing several of them their jobs due to additional voting right given to the colored was not shown in the movie. Which is exactly what happened, several administration people lost their jobs after the VRA. Please understand, that i am not saying the racial way of discriminating people was right, it was not all whites who discriminated colored. Some of them came out of their shell and joined the march later. But the movies fails to the understand the concept that there was more to the incident in Selma then being racist or multiculturalist, heroes or villains, but struggle of different middle class people to accommodate few other among themselves on the expense of their economy. 

Shimla

Any one of you who has been to engineering college will understand if i say how satisfying it is not going to class and spending some time with yourself and your preferred colleagues. Not to demean any other graduates but in India where engineers (other then some premium institutes since i don't know what happens there but i am pretty sure it's similar if not same) are made in a factory where educations have reached new levels of ridicule. Practicality has been replaced by course books of outdated knowledge and sincerity by the amount of classes you attend. The only thing left is to label them and give a bar code. Well i brought up this because i am an engineer too or should i say a factory product. It was around six years back when i was in third year of my college. Me and my colleagues rented a flat and stayed there for attending college. Trust me when i say attending college was the last things in my mind. Don't think of it we were bad students or so but classes were just not appealing to us. After the break preceding the start of 5th semester we barely went to college 3 or 4 classes in one month. Other colleagues was remarkably impressed by our feat and so were we but the dean was not. So he called us for expressing his anguish towards us and we never showed up. The following day we received calls from our parents, courtesy dean. They told a lot about some important stuff which we don't remember, the only thing that stuck in our mid was" suna hai tumko paper nahin dene de rahe hain" ( we have heard that you are not allowed to give the sessionals). The expressions on our faces were exhilarating. For reasons of short attendance we were barred from giving sessional exams. It is not to give an exam due to short attendance especially if the others have to and you have been expelled. Next day we packed our bags and decided to go somewhere. One of my friend told me Chandigarh, good place never been there should try out. Since we stayed in Delhi it was too near from the place we lived. Siddharth one of my friend just had his maternal uncle shifted to a big MNC and placed at Shimla. A hill station seem a decent destination, but how to get there. Now we are not from a rich background but we belong to a decent middle class families. But the fact that we just received a call from our parents with some excellent verbal abuses and talks about our future prospects didn't urge us to call them back and ask for money. So where will the money come from. We had some money with us for one month's ration and rent already with us and a television set top top box of our senior. Now as any sincere junior, we sold the set top box and went to station for tickets.While he was giving exam we went for a jog in the park ( We told our senior what happened to the set top box and he is one of our very good friends now). We barely had enough money for the tickets to Shimla so we bought tickets till Chandigarh and decided to see what happens there.
We got to Chandigarh the other day and asked for the next train to Shimla, it was later that evening. So we took our bags and decided to roam in Chandigarh that day. It was a beautifully planned city of the likes none i have seen before. Time was short so we went to a few places only of which one of them was the Rock Garden, a beautiful place to visit. Then we took our bags and went back to station for our journey to Shimla. We reached Shimla the other day and luck was on our side too. Siddharth called his uncle for advice regarding affordable places to stay which he denied and said he had the company bunglow there and a driver. His uncle was out for some business so we had the bungalow and the car with us for the whole week. We went to whatever places we wanted as the food, conveyance and lodging was not our concern now. Shimla itself was a beautiful place and we admired its as we went. The journey to Shimla was my first unexpected ride with friends which till date i remember.

Pakistan and its journalism

Like most Indian kids i too grew up listening stories about how Pakistan and India got separated by partition after the end of British Raj.Which left us divided not only in people but as well as in financial assets. From childhood memories i remember Pakistan was described as "a bad nation" which in various ways still many of us believe. Many governments have changed,  many wars have been fought for various reason between our countries.I always had doubts in mind that how can be a nation of roughly 180 million never demanded its government to look for logical solutions for ending war and terrorism.
Earlier today i read a few articles of Zaheer Shah Sherazi and Shahid Kardar ,journalists of pakistani origin, debating over the problems and the actions taken by their government and public reactions over the same. I am not so well read but the fact that these gentlemen had published in their articles are the signs of genuine concerns of their people over some terrible facts. Sitting here one can only guess so much about the internal problems of other nations. But when I think of a developing Pakistan I had always imagined it as purana lucknow. The image fades as i recollect the verses from the articles of these gentlemen about the policies of their government and their lack of decision taking abilities.The articles somehow mourned about how,when,where,why a number of people killed by militants in several areas.
When i come to think of it these are not only concern within our borders but also in Pakistan too. The fact that gave me relief that the people of pakistan are not supporting these heinous acts of vandalism and slowly moving towards eradicating the same by refusing Taliban for supporting it. These reporters were criticizing the government of pakistan for their delayed diplomatic approach towards terrorism by Taliban in their homeland and on the same page appreciating some measures taken recently by government for increasing the security near border areas to seal their borders from Taliban. In a way they were mentioning how measures were/are taken by government to minimize the threats. But the writers had similar concerns as to when and how will these acts of terrorism will stop.

Return to castle wolfenstien

Its been a long time since i wanted to start a blog. Well here i am finally making an attempt. Please do not look for some hardcore intellectual stuff, its more like an opinion. The name of the blog goes so because i am huge fan of Agent Blaskowicz ( most of you who don't know he is a fictional character fighting Hitler and in his course he encounters many foes in the franchise Wolfenstien). Well i will be writing here more stuff about my travels, game, the beautiful people i met in my way till now, and as time comes. Thank you for your time.
