Through the looking glass

Shazia Sikander is a pakistani origin painter who moved to the US in early 90's. Her work in the field of art and sculpture creation is accredited all over the world except Pakistan, her home country. She has won countless awards till date but only after moving out of Pakistan her work was recognised. A Pakistani art enthusiast Raza Runia, has immense respect for her work. After conversations with her through emails he gets a chance to visit her and get a look at her artwork. The paintings by Shazia, as described by Raza, were unique and breathtaking. In the article he describes the habits of the painter. Shazia confesses to Raza that her daily activities does not have glamor but more effort and competition, she goes as far as calling herself more of a hermit. After listening to the background of her artwork Raza himself agrees to her hermit nature and says, of all the artworks of Shazia he has seen there is no doubt that it requires immense dedication and secluded workmanship that of a hermit.
